Extracted wisdom

Losing a wisdom tooth makes me feel empty.
It was there a moment ago.
Slanting.
A bit stained, as a result of it being hard to reach.
But, still in its place.
Now.its gone. The gum where it once resides grew soft, almost jelly-like. Except its flesh. A hole. A cavity. Just like my heart.
When it was pulled, i felt nothing except for nudges and pulls. No pain.
Then it bled. 4 straight hours. Of bloody filled cotton gauze.
Then the absence settled in.
Emptiness.
Hole.
Cavity.

Im about to have a surgery to remove another wisdom tooth out.
This one is fast asleep.
